The Ahsas Disabled People Organization (Ahsas DPO) believes that empowering women—especially widows and women with disabilities—is essential for building strong, self-reliant communities. Through our Women Empowerment Project, we aim to provide women with opportunities to earn a dignified livelihood, support their families, and contribute productively to society.

This initiative focuses on widows and women with disabilities who often face multiple layers of hardship, including financial dependency, limited mobility, and lack of access to vocational training. Ahsas DPO addresses these challenges by providing sewing machines, essential equipment, and financial assistance, helping beneficiaries start small home-based businesses and income-generating activities.

Through continuous support and monitoring, we ensure that each woman gains not only material assistance but also the confidence and motivation to build her own future. Many beneficiaries have successfully started tailoring shops or home-based stitching services, enabling them to sustain their families and educate their children with dignity.

The Women Empowerment Project is an ongoing effort supported by our kind donors and international partners, including International Humanitarian Relief (IHR UK), Alkhair Foundation UK, Anaya Aid UK, and BAPA Relief Singapore, whose contributions have made it possible to bring hope and stability to hundreds of deserving women.

At Ahsas DPO, we recognize that economic independence is a key to empowerment. By enabling women to learn, work, and earn, we help them move beyond the barriers of dependency and discrimination, transforming them into agents of positive change within their communities.
