The Ahsas Disabled People Organization (Ahsas DPO) is committed to empowering persons with disabilities by restoring their independence, mobility, and dignity. Through our ongoing Wheelchairs Distribution Project, we provide customized and durable wheelchairs to those who need them the most — individuals who are permanently disabled, zakat mustahiq, and between the ages of 10 and 40 years.
Since its inception, Ahsas DPO has distributed over 10,000 wheelchairs across Pakistan, reaching people in remote and underserved regions of Balochistan, Sindh, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu & Kashmir. These wheelchairs have changed lives by allowing individuals to access education, healthcare, and employment opportunities — fostering inclusion within their communities.
Our project emphasizes mobility as a fundamental human right. Each wheelchair is provided after a careful assessment to ensure it meets the user’s physical and social needs, helping them move freely and live with self-respect.
This impactful initiative has been made possible through the generous support and collaboration of various international humanitarian organizations, including International Humanitarian Relief (IHR UK), Alkhair Foundation UK, Anaya Aid UK, BAPA Relief Singapore, and other partners who share our vision of a more inclusive society.
Through continued partnership and public support, Ahsas DPO aims to expand this project further — reaching even more deserving individuals and raising awareness about accessibility and inclusion across Pakistan. Together, we can ensure that no one is left behind simply because they cannot move on their own.
