Ahsas Disabled People Organization (Ahsas DPO) has been working for the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities for the last 20 years. We believe that mobility, access, and equal participation are fundamental human rights, not charity.
Protecting Disability Rights
Over the past two decades, Ahsas has worked at both community and institutional levels to promote the rights of persons with disabilities and support their recognition as equal citizens. We engage with communities, institutions, and relevant authorities to raise awareness and advocate for accessible infrastructure, inclusive policies, social acceptance, and equal opportunities.
Our work aims to ensure that persons with disabilities are not marginalized but are respected, heard, and included in all aspects of community and public life.
Department of Disability Rights Protection
To strengthen its work for disability rights, Ahsas Disabled People Organization has established the Department of Disability Rights Protection. The department provides legal protection, justice, and support to persons with disabilities who face discrimination, harassment, or other forms of injustice.
Our legal team works under the supervision of Sardar Javaid, Advocate High Court, providing professional legal guidance and representation. A dedicated front desk has also been established to receive and register court cases of persons with disabilities, helping make access to the legal system easier and more organized.
Services Provided
A Newly Launched Initiative: The Department of Disability Rights Protection is a newly launched project and is currently facing financial limitations. At present, its services are available only in District Mansehra. Ahsas aims to expand this department across Pakistan in the future so that persons with disabilities in other areas can also access legal support and justice.
معذور افراد کے حقوق کا تحفظ
احساس معذور افراد کی تنظیم گزشتہ 20 سالوں سے معذور افراد کے حقوق اور سماجی شمولیت کے لیے مسلسل کام کر رہی ہے۔ ہم اس بات پر یقین رکھتے ہیں کہ نقل و حرکت، رسائی اور مساوی شرکت معذور افراد کا بنیادی حق ہے، خیرات نہیں۔
گزشتہ دو دہائیوں کے دوران احساس نے سماجی اور حکومتی سطح پر معذور افراد کے حقوق کے لیے آواز بلند کی ہے تاکہ انہیں برابر کے شہری تسلیم کیا جائے۔ ہم رسائی، شمولیتی پالیسیوں، سماجی قبولیت اور مساوی مواقع کے فروغ کے لیے کمیونٹیز، اداروں اور متعلقہ حکام کے ساتھ کام کرتے ہیں۔
حقوقِ معذوراں کی جدوجہد کو مؤثر بنانے کے لیے احساس معذور افراد کی تنظیم نے شعبہ تحفظِ حقوقِ معذوراں قائم کیا ہے۔ اس شعبے کا مقصد معذور افراد کو قانونی تحفظ، انصاف اور مدد فراہم کرنا ہے جو امتیازی سلوک، ہراسانی یا ناانصافی کا شکار ہوں۔
ہمارا قانونی پینل سردار جاوید، ایڈووکیٹ ہائی کورٹ کی نگرانی میں کام کر رہا ہے تاکہ معذور افراد کو قانونی معاونت فراہم کی جا سکے۔ معذور افراد کے عدالتی مقدمات کے اندراج کے لیے ایک فرنٹ ڈیسک بھی قائم کیا گیا ہے تاکہ انہیں قانونی نظام تک آسان رسائی حاصل ہو۔

Our Vision for Access to Justice
Through the Department of Disability Rights Protection, Ahsas aims to ensure that persons with disabilities are not left alone in the legal system. We seek to provide practical legal support, improve access to justice, and empower persons with disabilities to understand and defend their rights.
As this initiative develops, Ahsas aims to expand its services beyond District Mansehra and make disability-related legal support accessible to persons with disabilities in communities across Pakistan.
